Summer Scent

As we are still enjoying some fantastic weather here in London I thought I would write a little post about my favourite summer scent.

Now i am a lover of perfume, I have bottles upon bottles of the stuff, but I always seem to come back to this one particular scent when it comes to wanting something fresh, light and summery.

Next - Just Pink

Good perfume with a lasting payoff is sometimes hard to find, especially in summer when the last thing you want is something heavy and strong filling your nostrils everytime you wave your arm around especially in strong heat. This perfume is light but still manages to have staying power with its delicate floral scent.

As some high end perfumes can be ridiculously expensive at £12 for 75ml I think this perfume is a hidden gem.

Festival Fashion

Its sunny....Its hot...and were off to a festival!

First Question is....What am I going to wear in this weather?

Well, usually festival time means Hunter Wellies and being covered head to toe. But not this year! No rain or mud in sight, result!

If your looking for some inspiration for an outfit then look no further :)

Festival Beauty

So, as we are having some ridiculously good weather for the UK at the moment I thought I'd write a little post about festival beauty in the glorious sunshine.

Now I'm the same as most girls, I love to look put together at all times, hair, make-up the whole shebang. Although in this heat I have to admit the last thing I feel like doing all day is fixing my face as my makeup literally melts off of it. The great thing about festivals is people don't care what you look like, everyones there for the music, not the awkward "oh, thats a quirky outfit" "or is that the new way to wear mascara, half way down your face?".

Dewy skin is the way forward for weather such as this, especially if you will be outside watching great bands play all day long. Personally I recommend a good tinted moisturiser, preferably with SPF, dewy skin + sunscreen = awesome!
Laura Mercier's tinted moisturiser is easy to apply and gives you that perfect "no makeup but im actually wearing makeup" look without that heavy caked on feeling in the sun.

Now to save yourself resembling a panda I recommend a good waterproof mascara. This will prevent the usual black gloop all over your face as the heat takes over.

L'oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara gives definition to every lash meaning no spider clumpy lashes and means you wont be mistaken for stopping by the face painting tent to resemble your favourite black and white bear.

There is nothing like a bit of blush to your cheeks to give you a rosy complexion and make your skin look that much brighter. My personal favourite is Coralista by Benefit, the perfect coral pink shade.

To round off the look theres nothing better than a slick of Rosy Lips Vaseline for moisturisation and a pretty pink tint to your luscious lips.

If your heading out to a festival I hope you have a lovely time, don't forget your sunscreen and lots of water!!

First Post!

So as its quite late and it has taken me an age to finally get my blog layout looking like something my OCD tendencies will allow this will be short and sweet. Just to say the reason I have created this blog is to find a new way to vent all the built up ideas/inspirations in my head and put them down on paper, rather a webpage, but you get the jist.

Expect all things beauty and fashion here, my two loves!

I love to ramble so beware if you follow this blog you will more than likely be taken on a roller coaster ride of thoughts in my brain on any given day.
